This is my second personal project. I did this haiku for English class and this is the picture that I wrote my haiku about. I took this picture of the tree behind the school. I edited the saturation and levels in the picture then I put in the text and layered the colors so that it would be easier to read!

This is my first choice project, I chose to do a collage for girls basketball! I found the background image, the basketball going through the net. Then I went and found the rest of my images. I lassoed the part of the images that I wanted then I went and placed them on the background image, changed the opacity and added the text. I really like the way the text turned out.

So far this year I have learned alot! Photoshop is probably the thing that I have learned that I value that most. I seem to be able to do a lot more with Photoshop rather than Illustrator. Photoshop is more fun for me just because I know how to do a lot more things in the program. But, I know that illustrator is really useful for making all kinds of things. Overall everything that I have learned about these programs has been very useful!

This is my logo. Some effects that I used were with the pen tool I used color replacement on the eagle. I added text and warped the text, and adjusted the color of the text. Then I ccopy and pasted another eagle, and changed the opacity of the new one. Then I put it on top of my original eagle, to add the different affect you see on the eagle! What I like about my logo is that it catches your eye with the eagle, because it kind of looks like it's moving!

I found this website, http://logopond.com/, I really like this website because it has so much variety. There are some really modern types, more traditional and some really unique ones. They have many ideas that I would probably never come up with. Seeing all of their different styles, and ways that they make it interesting is really fun to see, and very useful.

Panorama!

This is my panorama, it is a series of three pictures that I took of the extremely large tree in my backyard. It pasted all of the picture into a blank document, in the adobe photo shop program. Then I lined up the branches, houses and the various things in the background as much as possible. Then I used the eraser tool to get rid of the lines and let some of the background come through. There are still a few errors in the background. But I tried to split the difference as much as possible.

I thought that all of the steps and tips were really useful. I think that the top to that I could really understand and thought would be really useful were the bakground one, where it said that you need to check your background before you take pictures to make sure that it is not to cluttered. The other one that I thought was very useful was the rule of thirds one, because when I used to think about taking pictures with this rule, I didn't think that it would look good and it didn't make much sense, but once I tried it it all looks better and it makes sense! I think that all the points that they make are really useful for making good digital photography.

Good Label, Bad Label!

GOOD Label! I like this label, because it's a very old one, and because I still think that it is really neat, I like how the k is the baseball bat and how the colors look really good together.
BAD Label! I don't really care for this label. The colors are boring and its almost kind of hard to read for me. I cant really think of anything they could of done to make this label better.

I went to test out photoshop.com, but I couldn't figure out how to get it to work. I did look at all the pictures on the homepage and looked around as much as I could. It looked like you could do pretty much everything on photoshop.com as you can on photoshop on the computer. I liked the pictures on the homepage, they did alot of color changes, saturation, hue and all sorts of that stuff. I think that this website would be very useful for anyone that didn't have photoshop on the computer but they had access to the internet.

This is my movie poster, I created a new one but I based it off of the movie Now and Then!

I couldn't use the actualy movie cover, so I picked a color for the background and then I found a picture of the four young girls from the movie and used the magnetic lasso to take our faces from pictures and copied them on to the original photo. Then I added the text of our names, applied the drop shadow to the text. Then I went to www.yearbookyourself.com and created the older version of each of us. That is how I made my movie poster :)

What are some of your basic design principles, at your office?
Pleasing the customer is our main concern, we want to keep things simple, we don't want our pages to busy.

What are some tips for success?
We always try to stay on top of things and keep of software up to date, and new styles that have emerged.

What do you do that involves digital design?
we mostly create adds for people, using clipart. Some of us make posters and we create letter head.

What programs do you use?
We use adobe photoshop and pagemaker. We also use other various photoshop programs as well.

Two Inspired Photoshopped Pictures!

I really like this picture because the main focus goes to the team but the teams main focus is the flag so it goes both ways. In this photo I created another layer and then I desaturated the photo after that I used the erasers to have the selected areas return to the regular photos color. It was kind of hard for me to decide what to do with this photo but I was determined to find something because I think that it is really a great picture.
This picture was originally just a basketball going through the hoop, with the crowd in the background. The colors were dull, and the picture was pretty boring. So, I went to images, adjustments and I changed the setting to darken the background, and make the basketball and the net really stand out. Then I had to use the clone stamp tool because some the the parts of the black were different colors. My two words that I chose for this photo would be that I was inspired by the photo and it caught my eye because I have a passion for the game of basketball.

In the podcast that I listened to, you can clearly and thoroughly learn how to heal acne off the face. Adjust and align the photo in case the photo is a little blurry, but if it is really blurry it makes it much more difficult.

Photoshop Videos!

Three things that I learned in these videos would be how to make someones eyes stand out in a picture. Getting rid of someones wrinkles in a picture. Third things is creating a surface blur, which makes the picture look a lot fresher, and is another way to cover up any other imperfections in the picture!

My name is Bergen Elizabeth Hesse! I have had some experience with digital media and design. When I was in the sixth grade I competed in the NETA a web design contest and the DiGi awards, which is more along with digital media! I have used a lot of different photoshop programs and have made videos, but I havent done as much video editing. I'm really looking forward to making videos or movies, whatever it is that we create.
